Brain Injury Rehabilitation Services for Participants and Families

At NeuroRestorative, we are committed to working in partnership with our program participants and their families to establish individual brain injury rehabilitation goals designed to remove barriers to returning to work, home and community life.

Recognizing that each individual is unique, our expert therapists work to incorporate the interests of the participant when developing their brain injury rehabilitation plan and ongoing support.  In addition, we encourage participants to engage in personal interests such as music or art, and strive to develop opportunities for educational, recreational and community activities throughout the rehabilitative process.

Close to Home
With brain injury rehabilitation programs across the country, we offer options close to home so family members can participate in the rehabilitation process, visit their loved one and learn optimal strategies for helping maintain their goals when at home while participants can benefit from the support of family and friends throughout their time with us.

Part of the Team
Families are an integral part of the treatment team at NeuroRestorative and we encourage them to be active participants in their loved one’s brain injury rehabilitation process.

We believe that open and consistent communication is critical to ensuring that participants achieve their rehabilitative goals.  To help facilitate this, families and legal guardians are offered scheduled phone or email updates on their loved one’s progress, and are active members of the brain injury rehabilitation team.  We welcome feedback and questions.  In accordance with the wishes of the participant, families are encouraged to visit their loved one regularly and are welcome to join in special activities such as holiday celebrations.

Families and guardians are also invited to participate in all formal conferences with the clinical team to review progress made, establish new goals, provide input, and plan for discharge.

Family Services
We understand that brain and spinal cord injury impacts not only the participant, but the entire family as well.  We offer counseling for families coping with the challenges associated with such injuries.

When a loved one is ready to transition home, we provide training for the family at our programs and in their home to make the transition as smooth and successful as possible and to ensure that the gains made in rehabilitation are maintained following discharge.
