NeuroRestorative participates in national Brain Injury Awareness Month every March —a time to honor those impacted by brain injury and promote the need for prevention, access to care, research and advocacy.
For the past several years, NeuroRestorative has marked Brain Injury Awareness Month through its #HeadsUp campaign. During the month, NeuroRestorative provides ideas for healthy brain activities in a series of emails, on our social media pages and website. By spreading awareness about brain injury prevention, NeuroRestorative hopes to educate the public and honor individuals and families living with brain injury.
According to the Brain Injury Association of America, an estimated 1.7 million children and adults in the United States sustain a traumatic brain injury (TBI), and another 795,000 individuals sustain an acquired brain injury (ABI) from non-traumatic causes annually.
“NeuroRestorative recognizes and is proud to take part in Brain Injury Awareness Month by providing brain injury prevention tips to the public. It is important to spread awareness and education about brain injury and what individuals can do to prevent it,” said Bill Duffy, President, NeuroRestorative.
