Jeff Perkoff, NeuroRestorative Carbondale ParticipantIn February of 1979, then college student Jeff Perkoff was driving home from dinner with friends when he lost control of the wheel of his car.  Jeff sustained a traumatic brain injury (TBI) as a result of the accident.  A participant of NeuroRestorative Carbondale in Illinois for over 27 years, Jeff, now 54, has made drastic improvements, allowing him to live a rewarding and independent lifestyle – he is a proud husband and father of three.  His post-acute rehabilition has also enabled him to regain much of his fine motor and physical skills.  Jeff continues to meet with his life skills therapist at NeuroRestorative Carbondale twice a week and regularly spends time on wood-working projects at the program's onsite workshop.
