NeuroRestorative Ohio recently welcomed Sheila Rider, MS, as the new program director for its Westerville location. The five-bed home setting is located on Hoover Lake in Westerville, just outside of Columbus.
“I’m thrilled at the opportunity to work with the only in-state, post-acute community based option for people with brain injuries and other neurological challenges in Ohio,” says Sheila.
Prior to NeuroRestorative, Sheila held key program development positions with several organizations, including serving as the TBI Regional Care Coordinator for the Defense and Veterans Brain Injury Center in Charlottesville, Virginia, a post-acute community-based rehabilitation program for active duty military and Veterans with brain injury, and as Program Manager/TBI Service Coordinator for Missouri Rehabilitation Center in Mt. Vernon, Missouri, a 79-bed long-term acute care hospital.
Sheila is a Military Family Life Consultant for the Department of Defense, a Licensed Professional Counselor and a National Certified Counselor. She is a Certified Brain Injury Specialist (CBIS) and formerly served on the board of directors of the Missouri Brain Injury Association.
She holds a BS in Psychology and a MS in Guidance and Counseling from Missouri State University.
“Sheila is a great asset to the team and brings a wealth of expertise which will be key to providing quality services in the state of Ohio,” says Robin Ray, NeuroRestorative’s Vice President of Operations, Central Regions.
