NeuroRestorative Ohio recently welcomed Sheila Rider, MS, as the new program director for its Westerville location. The five-bed home setting is located on Hoover Lake in Westerville, just outside of Columbus.
“I’m thrilled at the opportunity to work with the only in-state, post-acute community based option for people with brain injuries and other neurological challenges in Ohio,” says Sheila.
Prior
to NeuroRestorative, Sheila held key program development positions with several
organizations, including serving as the TBI Regional Care Coordinator for the
Defense and Veterans Brain Injury Center in Charlottesville, Virginia, a
post-acute community-based rehabilitation program for active duty military and
Veterans with brain injury, and as Program Manager/TBI Service Coordinator for
Missouri Rehabilitation Center in Mt. Vernon, Missouri, a 79-bed long-term
acute care hospital.
Sheila is a Military Family Life Consultant for the Department of Defense, a Licensed Professional Counselor and a National Certified Counselor. She is a Certified Brain Injury Specialist (CBIS) and formerly served on the board of directors of the Missouri Brain Injury Association.
She holds a BS in Psychology and a MS in Guidance and Counseling from Missouri State University.
