Last month, the Sarasota Herald Tribune published a
front-page article about Katie Mathews and the remarkable progress she has made
at NeuroRestorative
Avalon Park. Katie, who suffered a spinal cord injury in
2006, was one of the first client’s at NeuroRestorative Avalon
Park and is looking
forward to continuing her progress and reaching her goal of independent
living. Since her accident, Katie has
become an advocate for young people and this past spring she was crowned Junior
Miss Wheelchair Florida.
As Junior Miss Wheelchair Florida,
Katie plans to visit local high schools to teach young drivers about the consequences
