NeuroRestorative is proud to announce the upcoming expansion of our Chicago, Illinois program and the openings of our first locations in Indiana and Iowa.
“The additions of these new programs represent our renewed commitment to ensuring that individuals in the Midwest have access to the services and supports they need close to home,” said Chris Williamson, NeuroRestorative’s Regional VP of Operations for the Central region.
NeuroRestorative Illinois’ new program in Palatine–just outside of Chicago–offers a quiet, residential neighborhood setting with convenient access to area physicians, recreational activities and shopping. The Palatine program will draw upon NeuroRestorative’s established roots in the state of Illinois–our flagship location in Carbondale was the first dedicated after-hospital brain injury rehabilitation program in the country and has enjoyed a tradition for excellence and success for over thirty years.
Located on three acres of serene wooded land, our new program in Indianapolis, Indiana offers a home-like, therapeutic environment, featuring five spacious bedrooms, three baths, a gym and a backyard grill for barbecues. The grounds are also home to a garden offering participants the vocational development opportunity of growing vegetables and flowers. Participants can also enjoy the leisure and recreational amenities the city has to offer, including restaurants, shops, cafes and sports arenas.
“NeuroRestorative Indiana is centrally-located–just fifteen minutes from downtown Indianapolis–which offers convenient access to the other local medical resources, including the VA Medical Center and area hospitals,” said Robbie Schmidt, Program Director for NeuroRestorative Indiana. “The setting offers residents all the perks of being close enough to access the resources of a large city with the comfort and serenity of living in a quiet community.”
Slated to open this fall, our new location in Iowa City, Iowa will offer a wide range of services, including community integration, 24-hour supervision and assistance with daily living skills, physical fitness and training, and behavior and cognitive programming. Located on 1.3 acres in a quiet, rural residential setting, the home’s amenities include five private bedrooms, a large screened-in porch, deck and spacious backyard. The fully-finished basement offers residents an additional quiet space, TV and a game room complete with a billiards table. All areas of the home are completely accessible and it includes life safety enhancements including a sprinkler system and alarm system.
