Assisted & Supported Living

NeuroRestorative’s supported living programs—often thought of as assisted living—empower individuals with brain injury and other neurological challenges to live as independently as possible while still receiving the support they need to improve their quality of life. We encourage participants to do as much for themselves as possible, with the knowledge and comfort that our staff is there to support them whenever the need arises.

NeuroRestorative provides assisted and supported living services to adults who live in their own home or in one of our residential settings, including small group residences or supervised apartments.

Our services are tailored to each participant’s needs and include:

  • Case Management:  Helps to maintain program direction, provides clear and consistent communication with the participant, the family and the treatment team.
  • Health Management:  Provided as needed through nursing services, medication management and awareness of health risks and issues.
  • Productive Activity Programming:  Allows involvement in leisure education opportunities, academic programs and alternative work opportunities, including individual or enclave supported environments.
  • Group Therapy:  Offered as needed to enhance personal awareness, self-confidence, social interdependence and personal safety.

A Lifelong Approach

At NeuroRestorative, we believe that rehabilitation is a life-long process and there are always opportunities to continue to learn and achieve success. Our assisted and supported living programs are designed to offer flexible, individualized support for people with brain injury. As participants move along our support continuum, they are able to retain the skills they developed in earlier stages of rehabilitation, while at the same time developing new skills that allow them to continue to achieve their personal goals. We also assist participants in transitioning to other support services and help them access services from other service providers as necessary.

Community Living

We know how important it is for individuals who have experienced a brain injury to build strong ties with–and be contributing members of–their own communities. We place a strong emphasis on the importance of achieving a balanced productive and recreational lifestyle, and support our participants to do so. Our expert staff encourages participants to engage in personal interests such as music or art, and strives to develop opportunities for educational, recreational and community activities.

Funding Options

Our assisted and supported living programs accept funding from a variety of funding sources, including Medicaid brain injury waiver programs, auto no-fault insurance programs, workers' compensation funding sources, private pay/trusts and others. NeuroRestorative is also a contracted provider with the Veterans Health Administration Assisted Living Pilot Program for Veterans with Traumatic Brain Injury. Our Referral and Admissions Coordinators are standing by to help you explore the available funding options.
