Vicki regularly seizes opportunities to make others feel safe, cared for, included and appreciated. She is often the first person to offer extra assistance when needed, no matter the size of the task. When a hurricane blew through Florida last year, Vicki was on-site immediately after the “all-clear” to help with clean-up. When an individual she serves needs assistance flying home for holidays, Vicki volunteers to go along to ensure he arrives safely to visit his family. She hems clothing, prepares meals, assists with maintenance, and volunteers any time extra staffing is required. She has even made it a point to get to know our neighbors in the Sarasota program in effort to increase community participation opportunities. Vicki does all of this and more with a smile and inexhaustible positive attitude.
