Jessica Embry, a program director at NeuroRestorative in Louisville, was featured in The News Democrat recently for her life-changing work that came from following through on a longtime goal of helping others. The story outlines Embry’s personal experience and the inspiration that led to her current role: her father, who suffered a brain injury after a motor vehicle accident when she was seven.
Embry has been working with individuals with brain injuries since college. In addition to her full-time role with NeuroRestorative, she works for the Brain Injury Alliance of Kentucky, where she serves on the Board of Directors.
“Having the personal experience, I understand what they (the program participants) are going through,” Embry told The News Democrat.
