FY 2015: Q3 Heroes

Celeste Sepulveda, Life Skills Trainer, NeuroRestorative San Antonio

As a member of the Life Skills team, Celeste never hesitates to be active in participant therapies. Always encouraging the individuals she works with, Celeste has been seen doing push-ups, squats, running and walking alongside participants to help keep them motivated and encouraged.

“Celeste is such a beautiful person inside and out. You can hear Celeste laughing with the clients on the other side of the building and it does nothing but make you want to smile. We are blessed to have her as a part of our team in San Antonio —she is true hero material,” said Rebekah Wright, Life Skills Staff Supervisor at NeuroRestorative San Antonio.

Victoria Rose Pindur, Team Lead, NeuroRestorative Pennsylvania

Always willing to come in early and stay late, Victoria will do whatever it takes to care for participants. Victoria became a Life Skills Trainer in 2011, a position in which she displayed intelligence, quick-thinking and an innovative approach to her role. After excelling as a Life Skills Trainer, she became a Team Lead in 2014. Since her promotion, there have been many of accounts of Victoria going above and beyond on behalf of the participants and staff she supports. From finding and installing televisions for participants to working additional hours, Victoria is an exceptional employee and team member.

“Victoria will always do what it takes for the well-being of the participants she serves. Committed to her work, Victoria is an amazing young lady and I believe her effort should be noticed,” said Courtney Phillips, Life Skills Trainer at NeuroRestorative Pennsylvania.

Kelsi Legsdin, Life Skills Trainer, NeuroRestorative New Hampshire

As a Life Skills Trainer, Kelsi is a hard worker and always willing to go the extra mile. She is motivated to involve participants in an array of activities and consistently thinks of new craft ideas to keep participants engaged. Overall Kelsi is an enthusiastic and caring Life Skills Trainer.

“On Friday, April 17, one of the participants choked on a piece of steak. He turned blue and could not speak. Kelsi kept a cool head and performed the Heimlich, dislodging the piece of food and allowing him to breathe again,” said Janice Comtois, Residential Supervisor at NeuroRestorative New Hampshire’s program in Chichester.

Chris Brady, Life Skills Trainer, NeuroRestorative Kentucky

Chris has an exceptionally positive attitude. In the morning when the participants arrive at the day treatment program in Lexington, Chris always greets them with his infectious spirit. Extremely in tune with the needs of the participants he serves, Chris does not need to be prompted to make sure that they receive quality care and rehabilitation. Due to his warm personality, Chris has developed a good rapport with many of the participants. Chris’s drive, work ethic, compassion and positivity are unmatched and serve as a blessing to the staff and participants.

“Chris is very helpful to me as a supervisor – he is always asking if there is anything he can do to help and is eager to take on any extra task. Chris is the portrait of the best things a supervisor can hope for in an employee,” said Katelyn Pyszka, Adult Day Treatment Coordinator at NeuroRestorative Kentucky’s program in Lexington.
